CRITICAL CYLINDER SAFETY WARNINGS:

Never Overfill: Do not fill the cylinder beyond its rated service pressure (typically 4500 PSI). Overfilling can activate safety burst disks or cause structural failure.
Temperature Limits: Never expose a filled composite cylinder to temperatures over 120°F (49°C), or unpressurized cylinders to over 130°F (54°C).
Heat Damage Condemnation: If a tank is suspected to have reached 130°F (54°C), it must be hydrostatically retested. Tanks exposed to over 160°F (71°C) must be permanently condemned and removed from service.
No Alterations: Never modify, drill, or use heat-activated coatings/paint strippers on the composite shell.

LIFESPAN AND TESTING REQUIREMENTS FOR CARBON FIBER CYLINDERS

15-Year Maximum Lifespan: Carbon fiber tanks have a hard legal and structural lifespan of 15 years from their original manufacture (birth) date. They cannot be recertified past 15 years, even if they pass inspection.
5-Year Hydro Testing: Tanks must be re-hydrotested every 5 years (check your local field or regulatory standard for specific re-qualification intervals).
Physical Inspection: Discard or re-certify any tank showing deep gouges, cracks in the structural carbon weave, or heavy impact damage.
